Diane Britton-Dunham

A self taught artist began creating her works of art at a very early age. As a small child she studied hard, teaching herself to draw from comic books, and later in her teen years from the multitude of sketches found in the designer pages of high fashion magazines such as Harpers, Vogue and WWD.

Diane has deftly merged her Louisiana roots with the Gullah culture of the South Carolina’s Sea Islands to bring us vivid paintings of a rapidly vanishing way of life.

This reclusive artist primarily produces originals that are in great demand and very often supersedes her ability to create them. However she is undaunted by this and does not create in mass, but in spirit. Thereby making her paintings a rare find, but like any treasure well worth the discovery.

She is delighted and thankful so many love her work, and will continue to share her art with the world.
